If you are a Christian and you want to lower your funeral costs, cremation may be for you. Certainly Christian cremation may not be for some folks in Christian Churches.
When a Christian accepts Cremation there will be no problem lowering your Funeral Cost. However their can be difficulties for the Christian and Cremation.
The major benefit of cremation is that it costs much less than a traditional funeral.
There is also a convenience benefit if family is far away(or close).
With a cremation you or your clergy can handle most everything afterward yourselves in terms of a ceremony without paying a funeral director. Some do not want this.
Or you can have full traditional services, have the cremation afterward. Then you can enjoy other benefits like turning the ashes into a diamond(ring or whatever jewelry you like). You may decide to scatter the ashes at a favorite nature spot, shoot them into outer space, scatter the ashes at sea,or turn them into a coral reef. Another option: split the ashes up into tiny urns and distribute to family and bury the rest. There are many more novel choices.
There are negatives that do come in with Christian cremation. It may be against your faith, your friends or clergy if there is a strong belief in the old testament. God general opposed burning by fire of dead folks(or live ones) in the O.T. It was used in pagan rituals and as punishment. An example is Sodom,Gomorrah in the old testament.
If you are a new testament believer there should not be a problem with cremation. There Maybe an exception to this if there is belief among family relatives, friends, or clergy in Christian Traditional Burial(Church tradition).
Some Christians are simply against Cremation because in the end Satan is cast into the lake of fire(Book of Revelation).
Some Governments Require cremation-Japan and parts of China which can cause a problem for Christians or another faith "who do not believe in Cremation" Burial space is a problem in those situations
Cremation can be good Christian Choice for you, please consider it carefully. cremation can save you quite a bit in funeral expenses without feeling cheap.
